Archmere Dramatics Presents "You Were Born on a Rotten Day"

Archmere Academy is proud to present its Fall Play, You Were Born on a Rotten Day by Christopher Sergel. In this zany spoof, Claude P. Jones, a science teacher, has had it with fake science, especially astrology and horoscopes.  As he desperately attempts to convince his students that they should study real sciences, he ends up making astrology even more popular. He now has to take drastic means to convince everyone that science is better than pseudo-science, and he learns a valuable lesson about acceptance and tolerance.
Senior Jack Roarty plays the frazzled scientist Mr. Jones, and seniors Jonah Tonn and Maggie Shelton play teacher colleagues at Galileo High School. Junior Bridget McNamara plays Miss Masters, the Principal, and junior Natalie Skelley plays Yvonne, the student teacher. Over 25 students are a part of the entire cast and crew of the show. The show is directed by Mr. Brian Manelski.

The play will be performed in the Archmere Auditorium on Friday, October 6th and Saturday, October 7th at 7pm. Tickets for the show will be available online at the Seat Yourself website: http://archmereacademy.seatyourself.biz. Ticket costs are $15 for general admission and $10 for students, faculty, and senior citizens.

Please make plans to come and revel in the imagination of the cast and crew in this wonderful interpretation of the show! Thank you for supporting the performing arts at Archmere Academy.
